Australia Day - Victoria

Australia Day activities in Victoria are co-ordinated by the Australia Day Committee (Victoria) in conjunction with local and regional Australia Day Committees. The Committee is affiliated with the National Australia Day Council, who co-ordinate Australia Day programs at a national level.

Australia Day (Victoria) is part of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and is supported by the Government of Victoria.

The Australia Day Committee (Victoria) was formed in 1982.

Members serve in a voluntary capacity and are appointed for two-year terms. They are drawn from both the private and public sectors.

The Committee meets bi-monthly.
