The Great Australia Day Duck Race

The second annual Great Australia Day Duck Race was a huge success on the Australia Day public holiday in 2008.

More than 10,000 ducks were adopted in support of Life Saving Victoria and Clean Up Australia!

A huge crowd gathered on the banks of the Yarra River to watch the race, which was won by duck number 25,888.

A brand new Mitsubishi Lancer ES went to the duck's lucky owner, Mr Giles Smith of Maribyrnong.

The Great Australia Day Duck Race is proudly supported by Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd, Parks Victoria, Life Saving Victoria, Westpac and Network Nine.
